{"id":315,"date":"2023-06-11T17:09:54","date_gmt":"2023-06-11T17:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mvudss.org\/?page_id=315"},"modified":"2023-06-19T20:39:23","modified_gmt":"2023-06-19T20:39:23","slug":"about-the-league","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.mvudss.org\/?page_id=315","title":{"rendered":"About the League"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Menifee Valley Upper Division Senior Softball (MVUDSS) is a Monday morning men&#8217;s slo-pitch softball league for seniors 55+.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Games are played at the Big League Dreams Sports Park in Perris, CA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Out-of-area teams have the option of playing once a week or playing bi-weekly doubleheaders.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>We use SSUSA tournament rules and approved bats; e.g. the Miken Ultra II is OK.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The league is open to tournament-caliber players.\u00a0 It consists of teams\/players from the Menifee Valley, Hemet, North San Diego County areas, and walk-ons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The quality of play in our league remains at tournament caliber, providing this level of play to local upper division senior softball players on a weekly basis.\u00a0 As the league gains attention, we are hopeful of attracting enough\u00a0upper division players to allow us to play two days per week.\u00a0 Until\u00a0such time, we will continue to offer high brand softball to senior players.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>&#8230;\u00a0Joe Hansell, league co-founder<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Menifee Valley Upper Division Senior Softball (MVUDSS) is a Monday morning men&#8217;s slo-pitch softball league for seniors 55+.
